Sparrow Terminal ("Sparrow") is built by Spriggan AI Inc. We respect your privacy. Sparrow is designed to work entirely on your Mac — we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.

Data We Do Not Collect

Sparrow does not collect or transmit:

• Terminal commands or output
• File contents, paths, or directory structures
• Git history, branches, or repository data
• Clipboard contents
• Voice input or speech recognition data
• SSH credentials, keys, or connection details
• Any personally identifiable information

Local-Only Processing

All of Sparrow's features run locally on your Mac:

• Voice input uses Apple's on-device speech recognition — no audio is sent to any server.
• Terminal sessions, settings, and clipboard history are stored locally on your machine using standard macOS storage.
• The MCP server runs locally and communicates only between processes on your Mac via localhost.

Network Connections

Sparrow only makes network connections that you explicitly initiate (e.g., SSH connections, git operations to remote repositories). The app itself does not phone home, send telemetry, or contact any analytics services.

Third-Party AI Services

If you use Sparrow's optional AI chat feature with your own API key, your prompts are sent directly to the AI provider (e.g., Anthropic). Spriggan AI Inc does not proxy, log, or store these requests. Refer to the respective provider's privacy policy for how they handle your data.

Website Analytics

Our website (sparrowterminal.com) uses cookies for analytics only if you consent. The Sparrow app itself does not use any analytics or tracking.

Children's Privacy

Sparrow is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Sparrow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
